arosa is a generic system designed to manage and analyse the airport and de-icing capacity. The complete air-to-air process from entering the terminal area (TMA) until leaving the TMA is taken into consideration holistically in order to guarantee an optimal use of the total capacity.
arosa consists mainly of three components: arosa capman provides quantitative values about the capacity of an airport, demand, punctuality and proposals for the operational concept, and arosa ataman analyses the phases of the air-to-air process, determines target times and synchronises them with actual times.
Based on weather data and the departure demand arosa de-icing provides quantitative values of the de-icing capacity, demand and punctuality. Based on the predicted de-icing capacity at de-icing pads and for on stand de-icing the real de-icing sequences are calculated in a second step.
Integral part of arosa capman and arosa de-icing is a what-if functionality which allows to compare potential scenarios and thus to identify and to use the most suitable sequence.
The planning results in all three components are continuously updated to the current data.
